Y3 HALF TERM 3

Science

We've started off the term by looking at forces and thinking about pushes and pulls. Can you guess what actions we are doing here and guess whether they are pushes or pulls?

Computing- Scratch

We've continued our unit on Scratch this half term. As we move through this unit of work, we will add some of our examples of work here.

Magic Mathematical Patterns

In maths, we practised our times tables. We made multiplication webs to explore what awesome patterns we could create for our 3,4 and 8 times table.

FRICTION

We've investigated friction within Science this week! We've investigated which surfaces create more friction by using ramps and toy cars.

RE- Learning about Islam

Islam- Mosques

In RE, we have been talking about Islam. As part of this, we have looked at mosques and created some linked art work.

Yoga - Year 3 tried really hard with their breathing, balancing and movement in their yoga session.

Science - Exploring Magnets!

In Science this week we have been exploring magnets. We've found out about magnetic and non-magnetic materials.

Class Council

We've voted in our class council representatives this week in year 3. Here are some of our candidates!

Making Carrot Cake

We've loved making carrot cake as part of our DT lessons the half term.

ART

For Art, Year 3 have learnt how to draw dragons! First we drew circles to act as guides for the body and head and then we kept on adding detail. Once we were finished drawing, we thought about what type of dragon it was and coloured it in neatly. Here are some of our results.
