Morning connections are a time for us to check in with each other and share how we are feeling to set up for a positive day.
Let's come up with a list of activities for us to do for morning connections that will help us connect with each other.

Now we are in the BER (or returning to the BER) there are a few things you need to know:
The toilets are located next to the kitchen, students do not need a toilet pass but do need permission from their teacher to leave the classroom.
Please use the 5/6 toilets during recess and lunchtime.
You may use the kitchen tap to fill up your water bottles but please do not touch anything else in the kitchen unless asked.
Students working in the collaborative space must be working on a task and respectful of classes around them.
We all have a shared responsibility for the Library and keep in mind when other classes are using the space
Revise the lanyard system to children and how we use 'Take a Break to Participate'.
As a class, create an anchor chart to display.
Once we know what we want our class to be like, let's think about what we might want to include in our Mission Statement.
In groups, brainstorm some ideas or words that you feel should be included. Next, create a class of list them all on paper. Next, each student can choose TWO that they feel are the most important and that we want in our class Mission Statement and indicate your two favourites by placing your sticker next to those words.

Learning Intention: I can set my class expectations and agreed norms
We are confident that you will always aim to be respectful, resilient and tolerant students however it is important to have an understanding of our clear expectations. Let's revise our school and class expectations together.

Class to create a when In — token display in collaboration with teacher
Print and display in the classroom.
How will this work?
Each of you will have your own token jar to decorate with your name which must be clearly visible on the outside.
You will receive tokens for positive behaviours and displaying the school values.
1 x positive behaviour = White token for students
Token swap-1 coloured token = 5 white tokens
Every time a student swaps 5 white tokens they receive 1 coloured token for themselves and one coloured token for the class jar.
What is my reward?
As a class, we will create a SWPBS Menu. On this Menu, there will be a variety of activities that you can choose from as your reward. See below as to how many tokens you need to earn in order to eligible for a reward:
10 tokens = ?
