Gender and Identity
Our students reflect on their gendered identity and develop an awareness of positive and negative gender norms. They develop an understanding of gender-based violence as involving unfair and hurtful behaviours based on ideas about what it means to be a boy or a girl.Â
Positive Gender Relations
Our students expand on their own identities and identify the effects of both negative and positive gender norms. Students also develop an understanding of the influence of the media in the construction of gender norms and practice respectful and gender-friendly behaviours.
