Subitising is recognising the number of objects in a group without having to count each individual object separately. Think dice! When you roll a 6, you don't have to count each of the dots every time. Subitising is an important skill for students in early years' maths.
Practise subitising using dominoes, or with board games that use dice. Use two dice to up the challenge of subitising two sets and adding them together.
