Expectations

Expectations

At Wagga Wagga High we expect certain things of all our students. All students have rights, but you also have responsibilities – to yourself, your classmates, your teachers and your school. If you make the right choices about your behaviour and your work, the results for you will be positive. If you make poor choices, you will suffer the consequences. To help you make the right choices, we have a code of conduct and a set of classroom rules.

Read these carefully and think about how you will behave when you get to high school.

Code of Conduct

Do your personal best

Be at school all day every day and be on time to all lessons

Set yourself positive and challenging goals and strive to achieve them

Don’t sell yourself short – always try to do your best

Make the most of the opportunities you are given – ‘put your hand up’ for them

      Follow the classroom rules

Keep up-to-date with all your work

      Remember the PBL Values :

o    Respect,

o    Responsibility and

o    Challenge.

Bring the correct clothing and equipment for all your classes

Keep your phone ‘off and away’ during class time

Use your common sense

Be in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing

      Be safe, considerate and responsible

      Follow instructions

Stop and think before you act

Remember that there is no such thing as ‘just mucking around’ at Wagga Wagga High

Accept responsibility for your actions – ‘cop it sweet’ when you have done the wrong thing

      Leave banned items at home

If you have problems, seek support from staff

Be a ‘team player’

Speak politely and show respect for others

Bullying or harassment is not for us

      Be honest and responsible

Wear our uniform to school every day

      Represent our school with pride

      Speak positively about our school

 Look after our school

Help create a positive classroom appearance

Place all rubbish in the bins

Promote our school in every way you can

PBL Values

PBL stands for Positive Behaviour for Learning.

The values of PBL are very simple, but if you always follow them, you will stay on task and go a long way to achieving your potential.
