TLC20
Parent and Carer Information
In 2024 we are introducing a new program at Wagga Wagga High School called "Talk, Learn, Connect 20" or TLC20. This program has been designed to provide your child with a dedicated time for pastoral care and holistic development.
TLC20 runs for 20 minutes each day (except Thursdays). Students will participate in daily activities that target one of the following four focus areas:
Monday: Quiet Reading - Encouraging your child to bring their reading material, promoting a love for reading.
Tuesday: Literacy Skills - Targeted sessions to enhance reading and writing skills.
Wednesday: The Resilience Project - Activities that help students build strategies in emotional resilience and skills for positive mental health.
Friday: Numeracy Skills - Engaging in maths-related activities and exercises to bolster proficiency in numeracy.
Please note, Year 11 and 12 will follow a slightly different program, which includes a greater emphasis on careers related information.
The Resilience Project includes a dedicated online parent/carer hub with valuable resources and practical wellbeing activities for you to implement at home. You can find more information by visiting The Resilience Project's Parent/Carer Hub.
Your active involvement in supporting your child's reading choices and engaging in conversations about their TLC20 experiences is highly encouraged.
