School Uniform

Wagga Wagga High School is a uniform school, requiring all students to abide by the school’s uniform code. Parents and caregivers have an important role to play in this. Please remember that you personally recognised and accepted this responsibility when you signed the enrolment offer for your child. 

The uniform looks quite smart, is very comfortable and is not expensive. Most parts of the uniform are available from the school uniform shop which is run by Daylight Schoolwear and is found next to B21. 

Extras

School blazers are available for borrowing from the school office for special occasions such as debating, Anzac Day, presentation assemblies etc.

What not to wear!

Please note that the above uniform does not include shirts with logos or patterns, non-school sport jackets/jumpers/shirts, jeans, track suit pants on non-sport days, coloured jackets or jumpers, brand-name jumpers, any hooded tops, or brightly coloured socks or leggings. Hats or bags with offensive language or logos advertising/naming/implying alcohol or drugs are also not permitted. 

The WWHS uniform is available from our Uniform Shop run by Daylight Schoolwear. You can find opening times on our website. The Student Assistance Scheme can be accessed if there are financial difficulties – contact the Deputy Principal for an application form.

Written explanation required

If your child has a valid reason for not being in uniform on a particular day it is his/her responsibility to bring in a written explanation from home for that day. Failure to do so may result in a lunchtime detention. Persistent failure to wear uniform will result in a student being placed on the uniform list, with sanctions then being applied e.g. exclusion from school teams, and excursions. Getting off the list requires a student to have his/her uniform regularly checked for three weeks. It’s a lot easier not to get on the list in the first place!
