Wagga Wagga High School was established as the first government high school in Wagga Wagga in 1912 and moved to its present site as ‘the high school on the hill’ in 1917. We are a large comprehensive, co-educational high school and draw students from five main partner primary schools in central Wagga, North Wagga and Forest Hill, as well as the surrounding countryside. The current school population is approx. 970 including 42 students in the Special Education Support Unit, approximately 100 indigenous students, more than 120 students with a background where English is not their first language and more than 70 students with a refugee background.
