In this course, you will have the opportunity to understand what aspects makeup psychology. This will include the study of neuroscience, cognitive sciences, and social psychology and how our understanding of these have changed over time.
In our options, you will study personality and self, where students will explore ways and methods of supporting themselves. This will help students better understand themselves and how they learn and thrive.
You will also examine the role of forensic psychologists within society and their role within the criminal justice system. This will include looking at their job from initial consultation to the trial and their role after a judgment is handed down.
Students will gain an understanding and a critical awareness of the nature of human behaviour and the influence of biological, cognitive and socio-cultural factors on individuals and society.
You will explore the ethical considerations of psychology when engaging with people or undertaking research. You will study how psychologists use research in psychology to improve or develop new theories
