This course develops student’s abilities to make decisions and choices relating to the purchase of products and services, and the management of their money. It also covers elements of legal systems and key principles of active citizenship.
Knowledge and skills are built through a combination of:
· hypothetical scenarios, such as planning to travel
· case studies, such as studying local businesses
· practical exercises, such as, house and car loans, managing bank accounts and credit cards.
Coursework
Students develop skills, knowledge and understanding through classroom activities and research assignments.
Assessment is a variety of hand in assessments, written reports, oral presentation and topic tests.
Suitable Candidates
Students who wish to use their financial resources wisely, may run their own business or work in a business environment, and are interested in economical issues when making decisions.
