The Mathematics Extension Course is only open to students entering Year 10 in 2024. It is an advanced course aimed at preparing students for the higher Stage 6 Mathematics options. Students choosing this course will be exposed to various problem solving activities and study more advanced topics from the Stage 5 Advanced pathway of the Mathematics syllabus. Some topics may include practical activities and students may utilize technology-based applications to further their understanding and enjoyment of Mathematics. Enrichment and extension projects and activities, such as those run by the Mathematical Association of New South Wales may also be available for students to participate in.
