Summer Reading Challenge 2025: Story Garden
The Reading Agency's annual Summer Reading Challenge encourages children ages 4-11 to read for fun, and happens in libraries every year in the summer holidays.Â
This year, the theme is Story Garden and it's all about storytelling and the great outdoors. From animals to adventuring, gardening to graphic novels, there's something for everyone!
With incentives to collect and plenty of brilliant books to enjoy, the Challenge is the perfect summer activity to build young readers' skills and confidence during the break from school. Children can also take part online.
All children competing the challenge will receive a certificate and a chance to win more prizes.
Contact your local library to arrange an assembly or class visit to talk about the Summer Reading Challenge!
