Tracking and Monitoring
East Lothian Council is committed to improving attainment for all children and young people in line with the National Improvement Framework and through the effective delivery of Curriculum for Excellence. Effective tracking and monitoring of a wide range of data underpins our approaches to raising attainment for all and data tools have been developed to ensure a wide range of data is accessible to inform planning learning, teaching and assessment and to plan effective interventions to close the poverty related attainment gap.
Professional learning for all school staff is key to understanding roles and responsibilities for tracking and monitoring and building confidence in data literacy. These resources can be used to support school leaders and practitioners to engage in professional learning to support and develop effective tracking and monitoring within and across schools.
