Watch for some big news to come out in the next days!
Young Hero
Congratulations to Liberty's very own Germyrion George, who was named one of LPB's Young Hero's. Only six students in the state were selected. LPB was on campus this week to film the spotlight segment.
Monday, Germyrion will be honored at the Governor's Mansion with a congratulatory lunch with Gov. Landry to "discuss how Liberty has pushed me to be a better student academically and socially."
You can read more about Germyrion's selection and story on the LPB website.

Important Information
Updates to School Safety Procedures
In accordance with EBRPSS security procedures, effective immediately, LMHS administration and staff will conduct student searches on a regular schedule.
This update to our school safety procedures is not born out of a new or existing threat to campus. This is a broad implementation across the district of safety procedures to ensure our campus remains a safe and protected learning environment.
Searches will be random and include the use of metal detectors and a search of the person, bags, and belongings. Participation in random searches is not voluntary. The search policy for students, staff, and visitors on any EBRPSS property is outlined in the EBRPSS Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook.
Please note that - by board policy - all entry to campus (including parking lots) of any individual on EBRPSS property, including students, staff, parents, guardians and visitors, constitutes consent to search.
Biology LEAP Preparation
Biology I students (traditional and Dual Enrollment) should be using the LMHS Biology LEAP Prep Website daily to prepare for the LEAP Assessment.

Spring Testing Schedule
There will be some CLEP Testing this week. Individual students should be prepared for make-up testing.
LEAP Testing will be held April 29 - May 1.
Math 1022 DE students will take their LSU Final Exam on May 1.
We have received final authorization that all non-testing students (only those not scheduled in the LEAP/DE courses designated for testing) will attend virtually from home with asynchronous assignments on testing days (April 29 - May 1).
These are the only three days that virtual attendance for non-testers has been approved. All AP and CLEP testing days May 2 - 17 will have all students attend.
After School Activity Schedule
There are very few reasons for students to be on campus after dismissal this week.
Any student staying after school without being a part of an approved activity and directly supervised by a staff member will be disciplined.
Carpool riders must be picked up no later than 3:00. Too many students are being left past the supervision time of school staff. Students who cannot be picked up on time should be riding the bus home.
Honors Night
We will be presenting academic awards for the 23-24 school year on April 25th at 6:00pm in the Gymnasium. A list of students receiving awards is posted below. We will also be sending electronic invitations to these specific families this week.
Some senior recognitions/awards were given at Senior Breakfast. Those awards will not be a part of this ceremony.
