Forensic Science has been busy the last couple weeks. Students had to resarch a crime drama and produce a review poster. Students completed a gallery walk and discussed which drama they had not seen and were interested in checking out. The activity led into a discussion about the "CSI Effect", which is the false belief that forensics work matches the TV portrayal. The class also hosted Sgt Terris Thomas, a Patrol Supervisor and 16 year veteran of the Byram Police Department in Mississippi to discuss how forensics works in real-life.

Photography 1 students were out near Lee Drive learning how to shoot panning photos. They photographed passing vehicles which if done correctly would be 'sharp' and the background would be 'blurry'. This is a technique which is used to show motion in fast-moving subjects.
