4.2: Data Analysis, Interpretation, & Usage

Leading Indicator 4.2

Data are analyzed, interpreted, and used to regularly monitor progress toward achievement goals for individual students.

Goal Statement #1: Teachers regularly analyze the status and growth of each student.

Stage 4/5 documents are used to set course and student expectations. Teachers use these documents in analyzing class data.

Teachers review student progress and set/adjust pacing in Empower:

Teacher PLC teams meet regularly to analyze student data and reflect on individual teacher and team practices.

Goal Statement #2: Students and their parents can describe the student's achievement status and growth status for each of the student's goals.

Goal Statement #3: Teachers examine the individual achievement of each student from a value-added perspective.

Examples: WIN days, tutoring, use scores to show PSAT and SAT, baseline score to end score by adding growth, AP, ELL Access assessment

Goal Statement #4: Teachers report students' results from multiple types of assessments to school's leaders.

Evidence:

  • PLC Stage 4/5 Cycle( by documenting samples and calibrate

  • Empower(ability to see standards and evidence scores)

  • Written, verbal

  • PSAT/SAT (breakdown of all students and data per questions)

Goal Statement #5: Teachers can describe the different types of individual students reports that are available.

Goal Statement #6: Student achievement growth is tracked through Empower.

Goal Statement #7: PLCs regularly analyze individual students' performance.

  • Weekly PLC meetings using Team certification and Stage 4/5 document

  • SIP day agenda prioritization standards and working crosstown stage 4/5 to developed and calibrate using students data
