3.4 Clear & Measurable Student Achievement Goals

Leading Indicator: Clear and measurable goals are established and focused on critical needs regarding improving overall student achievement at the school level.

Goal Statement #1: Belvidere High School students will show growth each year on PSAT and SAT assessments.

Our school has set goals regarding the percentage of students who will score at a proficient or higher level on state assessments or benchmark assessments. These goals are set to eliminate the achievement gap for ALL students. IE- Socioeconomic levels, ethnicity, English learners, special needs.

Belvidere School District utilizes scorecards to align all school-wide goals to the strategic plan. The district has a goal that all students will achieve expected growth on state testing.

Belvidere High School utilizes the ECRA Group to project student growth from year to year. The ECRA Group analyzes data of previous Belvidere High School students and what their average growth was. ECRA uses predictive analytics to project achievement at the individual student level, which provides personalized achievement benchmarks for individual students

Goal Statement #2: Belvidere High School teachers regularly see and discuss our school's goals.

I can explain the school's goals for student achievement. These goals are posted where teachers see them regularly and are discussed regularly at faculty meeting (see below).

Teams will compile learning data by standard for individual students with the assistance of Canvas (common data analysis). Data can be measured from year to year at similar snapshots.
