HEADTEACHER'S AWARD

A huge congratulations to all children that were awarded their Headteacher's Award. A wide variety of projects made it into the spotlight this year. From the popular subject of 'space', 'eco planet' and 'habitats' to the more unique 'ninjas' and 'history of maths'. Despite the very hot weather we had a brilliant turnout of proud families and friends, it was great to welcome so many visitors in order to celebrate the success of each and every child. Thankyou to the family and staff who support the children to always achieve their best.

STAFF LEAVERS

Wish all the best to our staff leavers:
Ms Breen, Ms Emin, Mr Engberg Mr Marshall, Ms Shi , Ms Wu, Ms Qu. We are sad to see you leave but hope that next steps bring you much happiness.

We also say a huge thankyou to Michelle Moss our interim School Business Manager, who after a year of supporting our school is now stepping away and returning full time to her Tetherdown Primary School. Ms Moss has enjoyed her time at Devonshire Hill so much so that she will continue to support us as a Co-opted Governor, we look forward to continue working with her in the near future.

SPORTS DAY

What brilliant week of lighthearted competition and positive attitude to sports. The children had a wonderful Sports Day session with many interesting athletic activities. A particular favourite was the giant 'egg and spoon' race and the circuit relay. We have some seriously fast runners, accurate throwers and excellent team players in our school. Well done to everyone who took part with such optimism. It was amazing to have so many friends and families spectating, your support really does influence the children to succeed.

FAREWELL Y6

The time has come to say farewell to our Year 6 children. This occasion has been marked with an end of year performance, graduation ceremony and disco. Children also celebrated with plenty of exciting trips following the closure of their SATs exams. Congratulations to each and every one of you for your perseverance and achievements over the most challenging year of your life-long learning journey. Keep up the hard work  and positive attitude in your new school - good luck!

GRADUATION

Our Reception, Year 2 and Year 6 children have now passed an educational milestone, they will now begin a new Key Stage in September. Each child dressed in a Devonshire Hill Royal blue gown and mortar board to celebrate their Graduation. Whether you graduated this year or not every child has persevered and succeeded their own personal targets. Keep working hard, say positive and you will achieve amazing things.
