Year 6 Weekly Overview
Year 6 Weekly Overview
Written by Mr Urry, Year 6 Lead
Year 6 students will enjoy their 'End Of Primary Party' on Sunday 14th June, 5pm - 7pm. Each year, alongside me, parents volunteer to meet, plan, organise, and set up our venue on the day. It is a serious commitment.
Please complete this Form if you are willing to be a volunteer.
Year 6 students experienced a wonderful presentation from student teacher, Miss Aich. She presented her past experiences at DESS, from lessons to lockers! Miss Aich was inspirational and spoke about DESS with great pride.

Year 6 students have this Activity posted on their Google Classroom.
As part of this process, we will be asking students to choose three friends who they would like to be in their class next year. From these friends, we will endeavour for at least one of those friends to be placed in the class with them. However, it is important to stress that this should also be seen as an opportunity to develop new friendships and manage different relationships.
Thank you for your support.
Please be advised that Year 6 students are receiving House Points (rewards) and C2 consequences. I encourage you to view these on the Parent Portal - see images as a guide.
DESS guidelines request that parents and children do not bring in high sugar treats, such as cakes and doughnuts. Instead, birthday gift ideas can include pens, bookmarks, a class book, or a healthier food option such as a sandwich platter. Please speak to your child's class teacher if you are unsure.
In addition to swimming, children will begin outdoor play. Please ensure children have hats and their water bottles.
