Year 6 Weekly Overview
Written by Mr Urry, Year 6 Lead
Sunday 14th Water Fight
Non-school uniform day!
You do not need to take part in the water fight. It is optional! You can watch safely.
Arrive at school wearing your wet clothes. See photos as examples. You must wear trainers, not flip flops.
Have a towel and dry clothes to change into afterwards. Don't forget dry trainers, too.
You will need a water gun. NO WATER BOMBS/BALLOONS.
I advise you to wear goggles.
The water fight will be on the school field.
Edulink One Platform Communication
We hope you are enjoying using our new Edulink One platform. We would like to remind you that you can use this platform to communicate with your child’s teacher and our front office staff. We will no longer be using Class Dojo going forward, so any communication sent via this app will not be seen by our staff.
If you have any issues with accessing Edulink One please refer to our letter sent on the 31st May or contact our IT department at itsupport@dess.org.
Please come watch and enjoy our Year 6 students, as they share their end-of-primary-school memories.
Year 6 students will enjoy their 'End Of Primary Party' on Sunday 14th June, 5pm - 7pm. Please refer to this correspondence here.
Our t-shirt was designed by Maxwell, Eshaal and Maria - amazing!
Please be advised that Year 6 students are receiving House Points (rewards) and C2 consequences. I encourage you to view these on the Parent Portal - see images as a guide.
DESS guidelines request that parents and children do not bring in high sugar treats, such as cakes and doughnuts. Instead, birthday gift ideas can include pens, bookmarks, a class book, or a healthier food option such as a sandwich platter. Please speak to your child's class teacher if you are unsure.
In addition to swimming, children will begin outdoor play. Please ensure children have hats and their water bottles.
