Year 6 Weekly Overview
Year 6 Weekly Overview
Written by Mr Urry, Year 6 Lead
Have a lovely break with your family. We return to school on Sunday 4th January.
Online Safety Reminder
With extra free time and screen use over winter break, it’s a great chance to check in with your child about staying safe online. A quick reminder about keeping personal info private, being kind, and speaking up if something feels off can go a long way. Setting simple screen-time boundaries and reviewing privacy settings together can help make break both fun and safe. Thanks for helping us keep everyone safe online!

In preparation for the Year 6 production, students will make props. If you have any large boxes, please bring them into class 6A or 6C - thank you.
Year 6 students enjoyed reading with FS students. This activity was part of our reading week celebration, led by Mrs Howarth.

Please be advised that Year 6 students are receiving House Points (rewards) and C2 consequences. I encourage you to view these on the Parent Portal - see images as a guide.
Ministry of Education and Higher Education: My Values Shape my Identity Activity
Year 6 students enjoyed the below activity. Sensitively, we welcome you to discuss this activity at home.
DESS guidelines request that parents and children do not bring in high sugar treats, such as cakes and doughnuts. Instead, birthday gift ideas can include pens, bookmarks, a class book, or a healthier food option such as a sandwich platter. Please speak to your child's class teacher if you are unsure.
In addition to swimming, children will begin outdoor play. Please ensure children have hats and their water bottles.
