What is One Act?
One Act Competition Play is a short theatrical performance, typically lasting between 25 and 45 minutes, entered into a competition. These competitions provide a structured environment for students to showcase their acting, directing, and play writing skills. The plays are judged based on various criteria, and selected productions advance through multiple levels of competition. One Act competes at various levels of competition and attends a two day state festival.
When does One Act meet?
One Act meets during Flex Time and will meet outside of standard school hours regularly during the competitive season, September through November.

One Act offers numerous benefits for students, fostering creativity, teamwork, and confidence. These competitions provide a structured environment for students to develop their acting, directing, and technical skills, while also promoting collaboration and healthy competition.Â
