What is Cooking Club?
Cooking Club's purpose is to learn how to cook recipes from around the world and put on fun events for the community to show off our cooking talents! Cooking Club fosters learning and enrichment by participating in cooking/baking nights, cooking classes for the community with the Parks and Recreation Department, catering for the district, and guest chef events.
When does Cooking Club meet?
Cooking Club meets monthly during Flex Time and outside of standard school hours.
How does Cooking Club benefit students?
Cooking Club teaches students life long skills in how to cook and bake, which is a great skill to have as an adult! Students will learn how to cook cuisine from various cultures, Cooking Club celebrates diversity through food! In addition to cooking and baking skills, students will practice social-emotion skills by working together to complete a recipe or task. Cooking Club fosters communication, delegation, creativity, and innovation skills.
