Theodore Roethke said: “In a dark time, the eye begins to see.” So perhaps on this winter solstice, before we start turning toward the light, we need to spend some time embracing the darkness — or letting it embrace us. There are life-giving lessons to be learned there, even in our darkest times. Happy Winter Solstice

Google Meet Updates

The Google Meet version we have (Google Meet Enterprise), has been updated and now includes simple breakout rooms, polls (multiple choice questions), Q&A (questions only with upvote ability), and backgrounds (limited control but works on Chromebooks). You may know the grid layout view was already added some time ago and can be adjusted between 6, 9, 16, 30, 42, 49 users; this is a native build not the 3rd party extension we had trouble with in the spring. There are also controls to toggle some entry control, ability to chat and share screen with users which appear under the security shield. If your meeting is with more than 5 attendees; you get an email to track attendance after the meeting
