create a business in which they will calculate expenses, profit, balance budgets, create prices, and decide on advertising in order to affect the market.
Students will understand the budget and how to plan expenses based on that budget. They will create the business plan and present their plan to the class.
Choice: Being more organized in the classroom and station rotation.
Voice: Acknowledging the responsibility to stick to their goal.
Ownership: Holding each other accountable reflect on their subject goals and their plans to accomplish them.
Choose: A business to write a letter inquiring about their success as a business owner to gather information from an expert.
Act: Inquire about entrepreneurship with an expert through a letter.
Reflect: They will reflect on what they shared about their findings with the expert
Causation: Why is it like this? The understanding that things do not just happen, that there are causal relationships at work, and that actions have consequences.
Connection: How is it connected to other things? The understanding that we live in a world of interacting systems in which the actions of any individual element affect others.
Responsibility: What is our responsibility? The understanding that people make choices based on their understandings, and the actions they take as a result do make a difference.
