Choose a way to improve or invent a new technological device after all the information students get in their research. They will then present that information to the class.
Voice: Students will tell their own experiences with the device from past and present.
Choice: Students choose what devices they will draw from their own experiences.
Ownership: Students will be responsible for their part in their oral presentation.
Choose: Students will be responsible, working together in a group and being open to classmates’ ideas.
Act: Students will make or improve a device
Reflect: Students will think about the importance and purpose of said device.
Function: The understanding that everything has a purpose, a role or way of behaving that can be investigated.
How does something work?
What impact has technology had on society?
How can we record events over time?
How have people adapted to technology?
What are ways that the device will help us globally ?
Change: The understanding that change is the process of movement from one state to another. It is universal and inevitable.
How is technology changing?
What is the role of technology in shaping society?
How can I be responsible with this technological device ?
Why do we want to change any of these devices (communication, cleaning device, computer, transportation, cooking) ?
Perspective: The understanding that knowledge is moderated by perspectives; different perspectives lead to different interpretations, understandings and findings; perspectives may be individual, group, cultural or disciplinary.

How has technology changed our society?
How do people in different countries use technology?
How we interact in a community with technological advances.
How we use these devices at our home and school.
Students will explore the evolution of a technological device and then share how these devices improve our lives. Then, they will think about the next step (development) for said device.
