January 18th - February 25th
Students will present their poster or google slide on their selected individual to the class. Students will say what change they will make in their life that was inspired by the selected individual.
Voice: Students will choose an inspirational figure to study. Students will have an opportunity to discuss in small groups about the importance of each historical figure.
Choice: Students will select the type of assessment that shows the understanding of the central idea.

How can I inspire change?
Students will come up with a plan of how to inspire change in their community.
Students can finish their presentation and at the end add a statement about how the individual they investigate has inspired them to do something.
Change: How is it changing? The understanding that change is the process of movement from one state to another. It is universal and inevitable.
Connection: How is it connected to other things? The understanding that we live in a world of interacting systems in which the actions of any individual element affect others.
Responsibility: What is our responsibility? The understanding that people make choices based on their understandings, and the actions they take as a result do make a difference.
