research the animal and how it has adapted to that environment (weather & landscape) and food chain (what do they eat and who eats them)
Students will draw out their food chains and present their research findings to the class.
Voice: Students will present their food chain final assessment; Students to give peers feedback on the final assessment
Choice: Students will choose what food chain they would like to present
Ownership: Students will take ownership in their final assessment, daily school work, classroom jobs, leader of a small group, other groups in groups.
Students will use the knowledge acquired from the unit to conserve and help habitats around their houses and school. Improve their garden to turn it into a natural habitat for animals. Make a house or feeder for animals native to the region.
Function: The understanding that everything has a purpose, a role, or way of behaving that can be investigated.
