Students participated in the Midnight Mile this year. Each student had their own personal goal of 1-4 laps around the track. They all did a great job and had a lot of fun with their peers.
Students have participated in a few community trips already this school year. They have gone to Meijer, Tom's Market, and Target! They were able to work on their vocational, functional, and social skills out in the community.
Lieutenant Meier from Station 7 in Elgin, came to DMS to talk about fire prevention to our students. Our students loved seeing his uniform, tools, and listen about his life at the firehouse.
