Principal's Message:
Thank you all for making the first weeks of school a success. We are very excited to start this educational journey with our students. We are offering many opportunities for students both inside and outside the classroom so please be on the lookout for the extracurricular offerings in our daily announcements. It was great seeing all the families at Open House as well as all the spectators at our athletic events. Soon we will be running the 20th annual Midnight Mile! Thank you all for partnering with us on this journey with the students.
Sincerely,
Leo LaBrie
Front Office
STUDENT DROP OFF: School starts at 8:55. Students need to be in the classroom and in their seats at 8:55. If you are driving your student to school and not using the bus, please plan accordingly. Student drop-off is at 8:30 and there will be bus traffic after 8:30 AM so we highly recommend arriving before the buses in order to avoid a tardy. We will let students into the building early when there is inclement weather (this includes temperatures below freezing). Please have students dress accordingly for the weather because they must wait outside until the 1st bell rings at 8:45.
STUDENT ABSENCE- Calling a student in absent: 224-484-4520 on the attendance phone line(or any message). Please leave a clear spelling of the student's name and give the student ID#. If your student is absent for more than 1 day - you will need to call every day. This form will allow you not to call the student absent every day. If you receive a phone call at 11:00, it is most likely that we could not understand the message- and it is put at the back of the line, and we did not get to it before the 11:00 RCS automated phone calls.
Student Attendance- If you think you were marked absent or tardy by mistake- make sure you contact/email your student's teacher and let them know that you marked incorrectly. Changes will only be made if the Teacher contacts the attendance secretary or Main office.
