Honors Algebra 1
We have been busy finishing up slope and solving systems of equations. We will be taking our final exam right before winter break and semester grades will be posted. I will be on maternity leave until February 15th, so please reach out to the long-term substitute, Conrad Musleh at conrad.musleh.edu@d300.org while I am out.
7th Grade
In December, seventh grade students completed the Rational Number Operations Unit. Students were multiplying and dividing positive and negative integers, decimals, and fractions. In January the students will be learning about linear expressions and two-step equations, which they will use to solve real world problems and to find angle measures.
8th Grade
During the months of December and January, 8th grade Algebra 1 students are extending their knowledge of slope by comparing proportional relationships represented in tables, graphs and equations. Students are demonstrating their understanding while using real-life examples such as determining the best value of an item or the greater speed of two vehicles.
