Pediatric Dysphagia
Patient will monitor bite size and use effortful swallowing with biofeedback to facilitate bolus clearance in 9 out of 10 opportunities during feeding therapy.
Provides visual, tactile and/or auditory feedback during feeding and swallowing (Groher & Crary 2016)
Using an Instrumental method, children with sufficient cognitive skills can be taught to interpret this visual information and make physiological changes during the swallowing process (ASHA)
Can be used In conjunction with swallowing exercises/ compensatory strategies

A device and an app that uses sEMG sensors to detect activity of muscles under your chin (device Is placed firectign under the chin) where It Is then sent via bluetooth to the iOS app.
