While at Cresskill High School, Victoria participated in just about every musical endeavor possible. She was a member of the Concert Band & Choir all 4 years. She played tenor and baritone sax in the jazz band and sang alto in the vocal ensemble, which later in her time became SoundXplosion, a mixed a cappella group. Victoria played various instruments during her time at CHS as a member of the orchestra for 3 years and the pit orchestra for 5 years, dating back to 8th grade! She was also a member of the sax quartet and clarinet ensemble. Victoria also participated in the jazz combo for two years and then rock band for 2 years. During her junior and senior year, she qualified to be inducted to the Tri-M Music Honor Society. As a leader, Victoria was the Choir Librarian, Band Treasurer, Saxophone section leader and the Student Director of the Marching Band.
Victoria went on to major in music education at Boston University's College of Fine Arts and continues to flourish musically. She currently studies saxophone with Dr. Jennifer Bill and plays in the wind ensemble and saxophone ensemble at BU while also being an active member of several all-campus ensembles. She is currently the alto saxophone section leader for the Boston University Marching Band as well as a member of the Pep Band, Scarlet Band, and Concert Band where she plays bass clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, and bari sax. With the BU Pep Band Victoria has had the opportunity to perform at various performance venues including Boston Symphony Hall, TD Garden, and Madison Square Garden. Victoria is also an active member of Tau Beta Sigma, the national honorary band service sorority, where she serves as the Alumni Secretary/Historian and Joint Secretary. Victoria is also the marketing coordinator for the Boston University Bands program where she actively posts on their social media (@BUBand).
One of Victoria’s favorite CHS Music memories is sitting on the bus in Disney her senior year getting to ready to march in the parade and finding out that she got accepted to BU. She also loved her time playing in the pit for the spring musical every year.
