Kyung Min Yoo’s time within the Cresskill Music Department was a very active one. Vocally, she was a member of the concert choir for four years and was a member with the vocal ensemble for one year. On the instrumental side she was a member of the concert band and pit orchestra for three years where she played violin. She was also a member of the color guard for the same amount of time. Additionally, Kyung Min played in the orchestra for two years.
After graduating from CHS, she went on to study at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University where she is earning a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance.
She is still very musically active after her time in high school. She played in the Jacobs Summer Orchestra with Joshua Bell and conductor Xian Zhang. She was a helping teacher during the 2018 summer string academy at the Jacobs School of Music. Kyung Min was also a counselor at the Berkshire Music Festival in 2016. She has also taken advantage of various opportunities to play many major musical works while at school.
Her favorite memory is her time spent playing in the pit orchestra. It “gave her opportunities to learn more about musicals as well as be able to watch them for free.”
