Before your online class starts, test out your technology and make sure you have up to date software.
Browser
Make sure you have the latest version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge browser installed on your computer, laptop or other device.
Windows:
Minimum of Windows 7, but ideally Windows 10
Make sure you run all Windows updates on your machine
Additional Web browsers installed in case one doesn’t work
Internet Explorer – Is reaching end of life, try not to use this
Microsoft Edge – Comes as part of Windows 10 only
Google Chrome - https://www.google.co.uk/chrome
Microphone – normally available on laptops as standard, but if you are using a standalone PC, you may need to have an external microphone
Headset is recommended (make sure it comes with a microphone) but not required
If no headset is used, speakers will be required, or headphones.
Mac:
Minimum of Mac OSX 10.5+
Make sure you run all Mac updates well before the class

Safari comes with Mac, but you need to make sure you have updated your Mac OS
