As a tutor at City Lit, you will use ebs ontrack for a number of course related tasks. These pages will help you use its functions with confidence.
ebs is Tribal’s Student Information System; it literally stands for ‘education business system’. ontrack is part of ebs which you will use to record attendance and non-accredited achievement and see useful student information.
Logging into ontrack: You can use ontrack from anywhere online, using this link. It works well on all devices, including tablets and phones.
Username : this is your name written in this format: elvis-pr (your first name followed by a dash, then the first two letters of your surname )
Password: this is your standard City Lit password you use to access your emails and payslips.
When you log in, you will see this screen - called My Homepage.
In the top right corner you will see your name, and two buttons - Current Year and Is Active
(1) All Years - by default the page will display records for all years. By clicking on this button it will change to Current Year (underlined blue) and will limit what you see to the current academic year. This is helpful if you have taught courses at City Lit for many years.
(2) All Records - by default you will see all records/students. If clicked it will change to Active Records (underlined blue), and you will only see active students, and not see students who have withdrawn or have completed a course.
The main section shows:
(3) Messages: this is where you may see automated messages, for example reminding you to tell your students to complete their course evaluation.
(4) Search: you can find your course by searching by course code or start date.
(5) These Sessions Urgently Need Marking: this sections lists course sessions which have passed and need attendance marks.
Most recent session will show on top. You can click on the Day / Date / Start / End headings to sort in different ways.
(6) Your Upcoming Sessions: this section will list your upcoming sessions. You can click on these to easily access the register for that session.
The left side navigation gives you more options:
(7) My Details: this page has your basic information.
(8) All My Courses: this page lists all your courses, and is another way to access your registers.
(9) My Course Feedback: this page shows your courses which have received student feedback.
(10) My Recording of Achievement: this page will show your non-accredited courses which need recording student achievement, and will indicate which have outstanding/missing marks.
