For this assignment, you will be in the dark room for half the class and working in the classroom for the other half.
Here is the schedule for who will be in the darkroom at what times (yellow was split up to make the groups even):
2:05 - 2:45
Cyan & Horizon
Green & Brandon
2:50 - 3:30
Orange & Sophia
Lavender & Ian
While your group is in the darkroom, you will be working on a worksheet called Lighting Experimentation Worksheet
Someone in your group should bring in their laptop so you all can fill out your worksheet together on the computer. Note - you will need to make a copy of the document before you can begin making edits
Follow the instructions on the worksheet and answer the questions. When you get to the bottom of the worksheet, it will ask you to replicate as many of the example lighting scenarios as you can. You will upload your pictures at the bottom of your worksheet.
If you finish recreating all 6 references and still have extra time, try playing with the light to see what cool effects you can get out of it!
While your group is in class, you will be watching a video called Laws of Light: 5 Portrait Lighting Setups and taking notes on it
Watch the video at your own pace and write down any notes you think may be helpful from the video. You will have 40 minutes to do this, so take your time and don't rush.
On your website, create a subpage under assignments called "Lighting Experimentation."
Link your Lighting Experimentation Worksheet at the top of your sub page. Everyone in your group will upload the same link, so make sure it is shared with everyone who participated.
If you took notes on the video in a google doc, upload those notes underneath your worksheet link, otherwise you can simply take your notes directly in the website subpage.
