Instructions

In your color groups, you will each take your camera and try and find the following items or scenes. Every member of your group must get a chance to use the camera! Your job is to replicate the photo as closely as you can, keeping in mind what settings and exposure you are using. You get points based on the following criteria:

1. How close your image looks to the original

   1. Correctly exposed (some may be intentionally over or under exposed)

   2. Similar composition and cropping

2. How difficult the item or scene is to find (ranked by point value below)

You may also create some of the photo prompts below the images for extra points (ex: take a photo of your whole group in front of a CT logo).

When there are 30 minutes left of class, we will score all of your photos and tally up the points. The group with the most points gets extra credit for this assignment.

• Blurry image of a person running

• Group photo where everyone jumps and is frozen mid air (no blur)

• Portrait of a teacher or administrator, blurry background (with their permission, don't go into classrooms)

• Group photo using a self timer, all group members must be shown (don't ask someone else to take it!)
