This will be your main project for Unit 1, so be sure to show me your best work! It's worth a lot of points.
You will be taking several pictures using each of the following camera settings:
A narrow aperture (high f#)
A wide aperture (low f #)
A slow shutter speed
A fast shutter speed
We will be doing a few in-class assignments that you can use towards your project, but I strongly recommend you rent out a camera and try each setting at home to get really cool shots. Since this is a photo 2 class, you will also be graded on your creativity, so keep that in mind when taking your pictures!
Once you have several shots for each category, choose your favorite picture for each category and edit it in Lightroom.
After your 4 images are edited, upload them to your website! Make sure the images are displayed LARGE (so I can see every detail) and uncropped (click on the image in google sites and click the option with 2 outwards facing arrows to un-crop an image).
**NOTE - Be sure to save the original unedited version as well! You will be uploading BOTH to your website!!
Above each image, write what setting you are highlighting in that image (narrow aperture, slow shutter speed, etc.).
To the left of each of your 4 images, upload the original, unedited version of that photograph so I can see how you edited it.
Below each of your 4 images, answer the following questions:
What shutter speed, aperture, and ISO did you use for this image?
What setting were you primarily focusing on? How did changing this setting effect the image?
Are you happy with how the image turned out? What do you like about it? What might you change for next time (composition, equipment, lighting, subject, etc.)?
Website Upload:
Post 8 images total - 4 that are unedited, 4 that are edited
Images should be LARGE so we can see all the details
Above each image, title it what setting you were focusing on (narrow aperture (low f #), wide aperture (high f #), slow shutter speed, fast shutter speed)
Next to each image, post the original un-edited version so we can compare the two
Below each image answer the following questions:
What shutter speed, aperture, and ISO did you use for this image?
What setting were you primarily focusing on? How did changing this setting effect the image?
