This assignment will be done in class. If you are absent, you may still make up the points by following the instructions below.
Take several pictures outside using the DSLR cameras. On Aperture mode, take several pictures using large and small f #s to see how they effect your image.
Each member of your group should take at least 5 pictures. At least one picture must have a narrow aperture, a wide aperture, and a medium sized aperture.
Once you have taken several pictures and gotten a feel for how changing aperture affects an image, we will return to class and have you upload your group's images to a shared google drive (so you all can download your own).
Download the images you took and choose your top 5 images that showcase a narrow, wide, and medium aperture. Upload these images to your website. Next to each image, write down what f # you used for each and briefly describe how using that f # impacted the image.
Must have 5 images uploaded to your website (10 points, 2 points per)
Must have at least one image with (15 points, 5 points per)
a narrow aperture (large f #, 15+)
a mid sized aperture (mid f #, 8 -11)
and a wide aperture (small f #, lower than 6)
Next to each image, must have written down which f # was used and a sentence about how that f # affected the image (5 points, 1 point per)
Create a new subpage under your units page. Title it "Understanding Aperture."
Plug in your DSLR camera to your computer and upload the images you want to post.
In the insert tab, click on "images," then select the images you want to upload.
Click and drag a text box next to each image and type in the settings you used to capture that image.
Now, navigate back to your units page.
Under your assignments section in unit one, create a new bullet point and title it "Understanding Aperture."
Highlight the text you just wrote and click the link icon (looks like a chain link), then link it to the Understanding Aperture page you just created.
Click into preview mode to check that it worked. You can enter preview mode by clicking the computer icon in the top right corner. Click on the link you just made and make sure it takes you to the Understanding Aperture page you just created.
When you are done, hit PUBLISH.
NOTE - if you do not hit publish, when I click on your website to grade this assignment, your new edits will not show up!!
