CGE Science Fair - We are looking for volunteers to help judge our SCIENCE FAIR on NOVEMBER 10TH. Judging is easy! Previous experience as a judge is not needed. Judges will hear student presentations, ask questions, and evaluate student work using a provided rubric and a list of suggested questions. The time commitment will be about 2 hours. Please contact Kimberley Hackman, khackman@chatham.k12.nc.us, with questions about volunteering as a judge. You may sign up on our PTA’s website found here.

Thrift Store – Volunteering at the PTA Thrift Store earns participation hours and dollars for CGE! In fact, last year’s efforts were recently rewarded with a check totaling $28,429.82! Thrift Store volunteer workshops are fun, quick, and you can bring your older kids (10+)! Register for upcoming volunteer workshops – MONDAY 10/17, THURSDAY 10/27 & TUESDAY 11/1 – here: https://chathamgrovepta.com/signup/?sheet_id=17. You can sign up for any session that works for you, it does not matter which school is hosting on that day; when you arrive for your shift you will indicate you are there supporting CGE.

Workroom* – Helping teachers with copy and lamination projects allows them to take a break during busy days! Volunteers can sign up for a one-hour workroom session (stay longer if you wish) and help fulfill specific jobs. It’s easy and surprisingly fun. Morning Drop-Off Assistance – Parent volunteers are still needed getting students out of their cars and into the building in the mornings from 7:20 am – 8:00 am. Visit https://chathamgrovepta.com/signup/?sheet_id=25 and sign up for a morning that fits your schedule.

*Volunteer opportunities inside CGE (+field trips) require Chatham County approval; you can complete and submit the application here: Human Resources / Volunteer Application Process (chatham.k12.nc.us. The process takes approximately 2 weeks.
