CGE Families,
This week is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. We appreciate all of the dedicated work that our teachers and staff do daily. Let's celebrate all of our teachers and staff this week.
Students will receive an opt. out permission slip for Field Day. Field Day is On May 19th. Please complete the form and return it to your child's teacher by May 17th.
On Thursday during specials, all grade levels will participate in a sport (cup) stacking demonstration. The presenter will cover the vast array of benefits Sport Stacking offers by utilizing activities and instruction from our comprehensive Sport Stacking curriculum.
Families, we appreciate your patience as we are still having some challenges with finding available Bus Drivers. Please continue to check your e-mail for weekly bus updates.

2023-24 PTA Elections & General Meeting
Please join us Tuesday 5/9 at 5:30 pm in the CGE Library for the last PTA general membership meeting of the year and elections for the 2023-24 elected officers. You must be a current PTA member to vote and you can purchase a membership at https://chathamgrovepta.com/.

FIELD DAY (5/19)
Our annual Field Day is right around the corner and to make sure that all of our students will be safe and enjoy the day to its fullest we need your help.

Teacher Appreciation Week (May 8-12)
Check out our suggested daily acts of kindness for students to shower our teachers and staff with the appreciation the week of May 8th - May 12th! If you'd like to join in, help your child carry out these activities! It is bound to make their week!
Support Neighboring Schools
Our friends at Seaforth HS are hosting their first Color Run!
Grab your wings, family, and friends - and join Seaforth High School for its First Annual Hawks Flight Color Run on May 20th at 8am. They will have a 5k run/walk option and a 1 Mile run/walk option. This event will be a Color Run meaning that (safe) colored powder will be waiting for you along the race route, and at the finish line.
All money going to the run will be used for future student government and Seaforth events, and this Hawks Flight Color Run in the future!

Around the School
2nd Annual Book Drive!
Books will be used primarily in the library. Some will be:
Placed in our collection.
Taken by other students.
Used in various parts of the building to help build a reading culture.
The Book Drive Collection box will be in the lobby and students are welcome to bring books straight to the library.
