As you may have noticed last week, we are working to revamp Gator Bites to facilitate and streamline communication. Note the tabs at the top which include:

We are in great need of additional volunteers to support the cafeteria each week to allow classroom teachers a short break. Please consider volunteering for a shift by using this link. Shift times are 10:30am-11:45am and 11:45am-1:00pm daily. This is a great opportunity for you to see your child and classmates and also help provide a duty free lunch to teachers. Feel free to pair this volunteer shift with a mystery reader in your child's classroom! Thank you for your continued support!

Calling all Creative Minds!
We are in the process of planning our yearbook covers! If your child is interested in creating a CGE yearbook cover for the 2022-2023 school year please see the requirements below.

Around the School
Carpool Reminders
As we begin to transition into the winter months, we have a couple of reminders for morning car riders, so that we continue to have a smooth car line process. Please remember to utilize all parts of the traffic circle at the front of the school. Car riders should get out on either side of the main entrance. Adults are positioned around the circle to help students, as they are exiting the cars. Also, we encourage all students to exit the cars independently when it is safe to do so. Thank you for your help!
Special Education/Academically and Intellectually Gifted Department
The Exceptional Children and Academically Gifted Department is hosting a parent information night in Spanish at North Chatham Elementary on Thursday, October 27 from 5:30-7:00. Dinner is included and children are welcome. This is an opportunity to learn more about the programs our district offers for students who need more intense intervention or academic enrichment.
CGE Science Fair
We are looking for volunteers to help judge our SCIENCE FAIR on NOVEMBER 10TH. Judging is easy! Previous experience as a judge is not needed. Judges will hear student presentations, ask questions, and evaluate student work using a provided rubric and a list of suggested questions. The time commitment will be about 2 hours.
