From the Principal's Desk

CGE is partnering with Chatham County Solid Waste & Recycling to begin an exciting initiative at our school. Beginning January 3rd, students will compost food waste and other compostables at the end of their lunch period. Recycling & Education Specialist, Shannon Culpepper, will be on site the first week to educate students and staff about composting and ensure everyone understands composting procedures for CGE. We are seeking volunteers for cafeteria shifts. If you are able, please volunteer for a shift to assist in this initiative using this link.

SORA -- Online Books

Students have access to our CCS online library called Sora. Sora is a student-friendly reading app for e-books and audiobooks. Students have anytime-anywhere access to digital books through their Chromebooks or their mobile devices/tablets. In their account, students can take notes and highlight books, track their reading statistics, and more! CCS has launched its e-book collection, and students and teachers across the district have access through the Sora app!
