Don't forget!

CGE’s First Cultural Art Assembly!

On Thursday 11/17, Warpaint (the Cypress Society Singers and Dancers) performed twice at CGE – the first performance was for third through fifth graders, and the second was for Pre-K through second grade. These performances allowed ALL CGE students to experience the authentic regalia, storytelling, music, and dancing, representing the Lumbee and Tuscarora peoples of North Carolina. Kat Littleturtle (Snipe Clan) and members of her family told stories of the eastern woodland native nations. We hope the students enjoyed getting a glimpse of the culture and traditions of the original inhabitants of Turtle Island.

Picture delivery

Pictures are expected to arrive by Tuesday. However, there is a possibility we will not receive them until Monday, Nov. 28th. Parents who prepaid on/before picture day will receive packages sent home via school. Parents who ordered online after picture day, will receive their package via mail. If parents did not make a purchase, they will receive a proof with information for ordering.

No Fuss Fund Raiser

The Chatham Grove Elementary Staff Morale Leadership Team is asking for your help to reach our goal of raising $10,000 by the end of November to directly support staff morale in ways our PTA are unable to fund.

Many of you see firsthand how hard our staff works, and we appreciate your notes, emails, social media posts, and tokens of appreciation. What you may not know is that our school has its own Staff Morale Leadership Team, which is a group of 13 employees who oversee internal measures to boost staff morale behind the scenes to ensure our colleagues are supported personally and professionally throughout the year.

Our team would love to make our fundraiser as easy as possible. For this reason, we are piloting a “No-Fuss” Fundraiser, meaning there is nothing to sell, nothing to buy, and nothing to volunteer for. You simply submit a donation (in $10 increments). Every cent of your contribution stays at Chatham Grove Elementary School.
