What is the Certified Trainer course?
The Certified Trainer course is designed for Chick-fil-A Team Members and Restaurant Leaders who have a gift and a passion for training and developing others.
If selected, the certification process includes a 5-day training course at the Chick-fil-A Support Center focused on elevating leadership acumen and Restaurant training skills. Candidates should be familiar with both front and back of house and accompanying tasks. Candidates will be evaluated during the course on their ability to conduct effective training sessions, coach Team Members, and display leadership by creating training opportunities. The week following attendance of the course, certification decisions will be communicated to all candidates.
If certified, Certified Trainers commit to serve at three or more Grand Openings, Company Operated Restaurants, or Licensee Grand Openings each calendar year.
Chick-fil-A, Inc. covers all costs related to a candidate attending the Certification Course at the Support Center, which includes travel, lodging, meals, and wages. As of December 31, 2018, wages for the course are $15 per hour. Operators are not expected or required to attend the course, but are welcome to visit!
