For this project, DMA students practiced writing screenplays and learning the format by working backwards! Each student received a clip of a scene from a famous Hollywood movie. Using this finished scene to guide them, they wrote screenplays to emulate the planning that went into these productions to capture the dialogue, settings, and production notes that went into developing these movies!
After this project, most original DMA film projects will include a properly-formatted screenplay to be submitted alongside their films.
