During my studies, I found that photography has become a tool for me that has allowed me to share a creative perspective to the world. Before studying photography academically, I didn’t realize how much lighting can change the outcome of your photos. Using lighting as a tool to shape my images, I can now make enhance my photos with just using things like key light, back light, gels, diffusers etc. I also learned new techniques to edit my photos in Adobe Photoshop and how much you can do in Adobe Lightroom without needing Photoshop.
One of my greatest strengths as a photographer is that I am very patient and I will put a lot of time and thought into a project; in this way, I am a perfectionist. Whenever I start a project I am very determined to finish it to my best ability. In reflection, I also believe that macro photography is a strong suit of mine and has become a format I love; it has been very cool to get the fine details and unique edits out of macro shots that go beyond what you can see. Between my skillsets with software and my skillsets with hardware, I tend to focus on the software to enhance my final products. I like spending time working on taking quality photos and making them even better with editing, and taking my time for the best possible outcome.
In the future, I aspire to be a fine art photographer. I hope to have my work shown in galleries around the world. I also want to travel and take lots of photos and experience different cultures, and show them through my photos.
