As a photographer, I mostly enjoyed working in the studio with people and learning how to set up lights and equipment with a team. Taking pictures outside were another favorite style of photography to take. I enjoyed getting creative with compositions while taking landscape and macro photos. I really enjoyed learning how to use Photoshop to edit all types of photography.
One of my greatest strengths as a photographer is that I do not rush and am perfectionist. I have a lot of patience and I can take a lot of pictures and am driven to wait and explore so I can get even better photos, locations, and ideas. I also take my time to edit the photos and make them look their best with attention to detail.
Between my skillsets with software and my skillsets with hardware, I tend to focus on the software mostly. Editing the photos was probably my favorite part of the process. I created my favorite pieces using only Adobe Photoshop, although I occasionally also used Lightroom. I enjoy using Photoshop because of the creative freedom it gives an experienced editor. I enjoyed taking time to conceptualize all my pictures and trying to have them look good but I mostly focused on the editing portion of it. In the future, I hope to learn a little bit more about photography and even more in Adobe Photoshop and I would like to continue taking photos and using Adobe Photoshop as a hobby.
These were some of my favorites from a project where we shot portraits with shallow depth of field to make our subjects stand out from the backdrop.
For this project, we recreated famous movie posters using all original photography and design. I shot a series of photos and did lots of editing and manipulation to recreate the look and feeling of the Good Will Hunting movie cover.
This was a portrait series I shot of Finn in the studio. We used lighting, props, costumes, and different color gels to create the mood and feeling of four seasons between the photos.
For this project, we went outside and shot macro photography to capture textures in a tactile way.
For this project, we made it look like there are many clones of ourselves in the frame using masking and photo layering techniques.
For this project, we used adjustment layers to change one thing in our photo. For my adjustment layer I made the water look red.
For this project, we learned how to make clipping asks by making a design where images shined through letters in text.
For this project, we experimented with different Lightroom settings to create presets of vintage film looks for our photos.
For this project, we created double exposures and long exposure effects in camera by manually manipulating light in dark a studio.
For this project, we used Photoshop layer techniques to turn a photo into a hand drawn effect. The rest was a process of masking and setting up the scene to show it in a realistic way.
For this project, we created a pixel dispersion effects using multiple layers manipulated in photoshop with liquify effects and creative brush shapes.
For this project we, scanned original water colors to create a hybrid of photography and hand drawn art.
For this project, we created an effect where a frame was incorporated into our photography showing parts of our images that could emerge out of the backdrop.
For this project, we used lighting on our middle gray backdrop to create multiple looks, including gray, pure white, pitch black, and gel coloring. all of these used the same backdrop.
For this project, I worked on a team in a pitch dark auditorium to experiment with light painting and long exposures. these effects were created by hand in camera with no photoshop editing.
For this project, we used Photoshop to restore old photos with spot healing brushes and color layering techniques.
