As a photographer, I enjoy photography not only as a hobby but as an art form. I would enjoy continuing to shoot more and seeking professional gigs and opportunities, and I hope more people can be exposed to what I do so I can be hired or invited to shoot portraits, events, and more!
One of my greatest strengths as a photographer is that I'll do whatever I need to do to get a good angle or view. If a client or collaborator wants me to do something, I'll work on it until I think its my absolute best work. Between my skill sets with software and my skill sets with hardware, I tend to put an even focus on editing and shooting because I would rather be able to do everything then just be really good at one thing. Having editing skills help with some photo formats and jobs, while being able to control a camera is always important, so having both allows more opportunities.
In the future, I hope to further my skills and learn more and to gain more experience as professional. I aspire to shoot more photography by getting outside of school jobs to take for people.
These are some photos I shot of my friend Jacob and Jackson on location, making use of the natural soft lighting and creative angles for portraiture. Some are portrait/landscape orientation.
These were some of my favorite photos shot during a field trip to Stowe to capture landscapes, waterfall, and Vermont Fall photography.
These are some favorite landscapes I have shot around Barre showcasing wide expanses of land, sky, and scenery.
These are some photos I shot of my friend Emma on location, making use of the natural soft lighting and creative angles for portraiture. Some are portrait/landscape orientation.
These were some open edits I experimented with for a project to make surrealist and abstract photography featuring a blend of editing and original photograph work.
This project tasked us to shoot photography that fit standard composition techniques. I shot several compositions and these were my favorite; the first showcases leading lines and the second showcases soft balanced lighting.
These are some photos I shot of my friend Abigail on location, making use of the natural soft lighting and creative angles for portraiture. Some are portrait/landscape orientation.
For this project, we had to re-create a famous movie poster using our own photography and manipulation. I remade Rocky and only needed a reference photo from Philadelphia to make this design! As a bonus, we also made a second version of the movie poster with a "remixed" genre, so my second version features a "Western" version of Rocky!
This project asked us to shoot a series of photos at home to respond to the "turbulent times" of the Coronavirus shutdowns. I shot my series showing bleak, absent landscapes to represent the feelings of the time.
For this project, we learned the basics of masking and layering in Photoshop by making a collage of images stitched together with a theme. My theme was the San Francisco 49ers.
For this project, we created an effect where a frame was incorporated into our photography, showing parts of our images that could emerge out of the backdrop.
This was made when we worked to recreate traditional double exposures digitally using Photoshop masking layers and layer modes. It combines a portrait with a landscape shining through.
For this project, we were given photographs that had faded and been destroyed by time. Using Photoshop healing brushes and color layering, we restored them to clean modern color photos.
For this project, I worked with a team in a pitch dark auditorium to experiment with light painting and long exposures. These effects were created by hand in camera with no Photoshop editing!
For this project, we created an illusion to show our faces through an outline mask of our sideways-facing profile, creating a really cool effect!
For this project, we used Photoshop layer techniques to turn a photo into a hand-drawn effect. The rest was a process of masking and setting up the scene to show it in a realistic way!
For this project, we set up a series of presets and actions in Adobe Lightroom and explored some vintage film looks for our original photos.
For this project, we learned how to use adjustment layers in Photoshop by editing just one part of an original photograph. For my adjustment layer, I used hue/saturation to selectively edit.
For this project, we created an effect as if we had many clones of ourselves in the frame by using masking and photo layering techniques.
This was one of our first projects of the school year! For this project, we got to know the basics of our cameras by shooting basic photos on campus with 3 macro shots, 2 portraits, and 1 landscape. This is my favorite shot from that shoot.
For this project, we learned the basics of masking and layering in Photoshop by making a collage of images stitched together with a theme. My theme was the Boston I made this for My father and did every championship they have won in his life time.
For this project, we shot macro photography to try and capture textures in a tactile way. This was my favorite shot from that series!
For this project I worked with Micah and Kent to do an epic recreation by swapping our whole class into DaVinci's Last Supper painting. We worked together to edit the image with photos matching the lighting and pose in the studio. The biggest challenge was to use their faces to replace the original paintings faces.
This was a series I shot with Aidan and Micah to experiment with unique effects we could create in camera (no editing) with flashes and manual exposure tricks.
